Croatia

A thousand islands between two ancient cities.

Croatia’s Dalmatian coast packs more into a week than anywhere else in the Med: the walled city of Dubrovnik, Diocletian’s palace in Split, the lavender island of Hvar, and the transparent water of the Kornati archipelago — a national park of 140 bare islands. Distances are short; the water is the clearest in Europe.

Croatia questions

When is the best time to charter in Croatia?

May to October. June and September are perfect — warm sea, fewer crowds. July–August is high season; waterfront berths in Hvar should be booked far ahead.

Where do Croatia charters start?

Split or Trogir (central Dalmatia) and Dubrovnik (south). Both have direct seasonal flights from major US cities.

Is Croatia good for a first yacht charter?

Yes — it is one of the best first-time grounds: short passages between islands, calm Adriatic waters and protected bays on almost every route.
